| Sharon Towers is located only a few miles from the cultural, educational and business hub of downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, the North Carolina Dance Theater, Oratorio Singers of Charlotte and the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra, along with a variety of museums and art centers, provide a variety of cultural experiences for our residents. Queens University, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and other local colleges and universities help provide intellectual stimulation for residents through lecture series, evening classes and other enrichment opportunities. In addition there are numerous places in and around Charlotte of historical interest. For the sports enthusiasts in our community, we are home to professional teams such as the Carolina Panthers and the Charlotte Bobcats.
Conveniently located in the SouthPark area, Sharon Towers is close to some of the area’s best shopping and finest dining. Major golf courses also are nearby.
We also offer a wide variety of activities within the Sharon Towers community itself, with a full activities program designed to enhance daily living. From a workout in our exercise room or a dip in the pool, to a leisurely stroll along our walking paths to a round of billiards, our residents find physical activity varied and energizing. They enjoy frequent musical programs and guest lectures on site. Social activities include bridge and other card games, formal dining in our City View Clubroom overlooking the city skyline, special holiday celebrations and many others. Spiritual needs are addressed through twice-weekly vespers, Bible studies and related activities. Both in and out-of-town trips to concerts, museums, and historical sites, along with numerous shopping expeditions, add to resident life at Sharon Towers.
