Independent Living
The large majority of our residents live independently, in various size apartments and cottages. However, if there comes a time when special needs arise, other levels of care are available. If the need is of a temporary nature only, residents can continue to maintain their living accommodations.

Our West Suite offers a variety of concierge services to help residents maintain their independence for a greater period of time. If a resident is still able to function independently, but poor eyesight or hearing loss makes tasks such as reading or scheduling appointments difficult, the West Suite may provide the added errand-type services one needs. Designed to enrich daily living while allowing one to reside independently, these services are a welcome relief to many.

Assisted Living
When there are strong indications that a resident’s needs can no longer be met through independent living, the resident, along with family members, his or her physician, and appropriate staff member will together make the decision for a move to one of our assisted living floors – a cozy area within Sharon Towers called Azalea West. All assisted living rooms are private. Nursing staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Three meals a day are provided in lovely dining rooms located on each floor of Azalea West, allowing opportunities to socialize with friends. A specialized activity program is designed to meet residents’ physical, spiritual, and cognitive needs. Activities are offered several times throughout the day, and residents also are encouraged to take advantage of programs offered in other areas throughout our community. Mail is delivered directly to residents daily by a helpful staff member or volunteer.

Health Care Center
Our Health Care Center is located on-site. Therefore, should a resident ever require skilled nursing care, permanently or on a temporary basis, he or she will feel comfortable and at home within the Sharon Towers community. All Health Care Center rooms are private. Skilled nursing care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide bathing, dressing, grooming, and any other services needed to feel one’s best.

Our dining services staff serves three delicious meals a day, and snacks are always available upon request. If able, residents are encouraged to dine in the floor’s dining room with others, but meal delivery to one’s room is available. Various social, physical, and spiritual activities are offered daily in group settings or on an individual basis. Personal mail is delivered right to each room, along with the daily newspaper, if requested.

In both the Health Care Center and in Assisted Living, plants, animals and children are an integral part of our philosophy of care. Not only do we provide high staffing ratios to give an exceptional quality of care, but we encourage wellness through life-long comforts such as these. While residents may require additional nursing assistance as they age, we still look forward to seeing them planting flowers on our sun porch, stroking our resident cat, or smiling as a parade of children in Halloween costumes files past.
